Then MontaVista should solve your problem for you, right?

Especially if they're marketing 2.4.20 EHCI support,
while www.linux-usb.org/usb2.html points out that no
version of EHCI before 2.4.22 should be relied on.
(And even that's a bit dubious.)  2.4.20 is way too
old to expect many folk other than MontaVista to try
helping you.

If you're keen on a 2.4 kernel plus "free" support,
then 2.4.29 is what you should be looking at.  That
driver should still be marked as "experimental" though.
Or better yet, switch to 2.6.11-rc4-bk; that USB stack
has a whole lot of improvements.
