That may be so, but it's still much better when vendors support Linux (with GPL'd source code no less!) than not. Right? Thing is, as I have some reason to know, developing a USB HCD can be a daunting task with the older kernels they've focussed on. And when you toss in the complications of high speed support (for both host and peripheral roles), and OTG ...
