In Windows there are 2 devices created to 1 on the USB root hubs. One is a modem and the other is a Kyocera Control port. I've used a serial monitor on the control port when VZWs access manager is running and there is definitely communication when the application is running. There isn't any communication when VZWs access mgr isn't running even during a data connection. The output of the console on the screen doesn't have the correct baud setting so the text isn't clear. There are IOCTL_SERIAL_GET_COMMSTATUS requests every second. About every 10-15 secs there is a response in the from of W24,99 or F22,99. These are strikingly similar to the output of the AT+CSQ. There device driver in windows is kwkxusb. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Do you grep through log files for problems? Stop!
