Hello all,

I've been using the USB Iomega ZIP 250 drive on my Dell portable Latitude
CPx, with kernel 2.2.x with the uhci driver and it was operating normally.
Until recently were I've upgraded to Redhat 7.0beta, with kernel
2.4.1-0.1.9, and I've notice the following strange behaviour.

1. It appears to be a loooot slower.
ie. with the old kernel the command "hdparam -tT /dev/sda" was giving a
Disk Reads: 64 MB in 93 sec = 703.25 kB/sec
with the new kernel
Disk reads: 64 MB in 394 sec = 166 kB/sec!!!

2. When the disk is mounted, if I press the eject button, the
disc is ejected! While with the old kernel I had to umount first the disk
(which is the normal way).

I've tested the usb_uhci.o and the uhci.o modules but both had the same
behavior.

I've tried to change from the drivers/usb/storage/scsiglue.c in the
usb_stor_host_template to FALSE the "use_clustering", but this didn't help
also.

Does anybody knows what is the problem?

Thanks in advance
Vasilis Vlachoudis
