Hello,
I work since a few days with SuSE-Linux 7.1, with Kernel 2.2.18 and 2.4.
I have installed both kernel and so i select at boottime witch one i
want
to run. The hardware is, a Asus P2B motherboard with 2 USB-Pluggs.
My Problem is, that i cant run USB when i use Kernel 2.2.18.
You see the message on the attachment.
I am not able to select a specific IRQ for USB in the BIOS-Setup.
What i can do is enable it or disable it.
With Kernel 2.4 USB run fine and the IRQ for USB is 5.
In MS-Windows i have seen, that the IRQ of USB is dependent of
other devices in my computer, so now after adding a Scanner-SCSI-
Host-Adapter the IRQ for USB is 10 on Windows98.
It seams that Kernel 2.2.18 can not decide a specifig IRQ to enable
for USB, what can i do to have UHCI-USB-Host with this Kernel?
Because with Kernel 2.4 my Computer freezed a few times, i prefer to
run Kernel 2.2.18. Can You Help?
Thanks and regards
Paolo
