I have 2.4.2 kernel w/usbserial, usb-uhci, usb-storage, and visor all loaded. However, when I try to sync with either kpilot or jpilot, all I get is NOTHING. I have hard-linked /dev/ttyUSB0 to /dev/pilot (after I mknod's to set it up. When I push the hot-sync button on the cradle hotplug shows Device NoNone: oxo82d /dev/ttyUSB0, but the dev lives at /dev/usb/ttyUSB0. After a few seconds, my visor complains that I cannot sync with the desktop. I have tried every permutation and com- bination to set it up. Kpilot acts as if it will sync, but then after about 20 secs, the visor shuts off. I am trying to find out how to increase the time it looks for the conduit. I have tried all types of speed. NOTHING!! Could someone on the list provide a Step by Step on how they have set up their Visor (Platinum) and what device, links, etc. Thanks in advance. Keith P.S.
