I have a Xircom Portstation with a dual DB9 serial module that I can't
get to work properly with the generic serial usb driver. The Xircom
Portstation is a sort of modular usb hub, in which you can plug in
various modules to get new functionality. I have a four-port usb hub
and a parallel port module that seems to work ok, but the serial
module has some problems.
I use linux 2.4.2 and load the usbserial module with
insmod usbserial vendor=0x085a product=0x0001
One serial port is then detected, but I get no data through the port.
This is what the logs say about it:
Mar 22 18:13:38 debian kernel: usbserial.c: descriptor matches

or this device

Ideas?
