Hi.

I posted earlier about a new vendor ID I though I had discovered, when
what I had discovered (failed to discover at the time) was that the ID's
in the complete list were listed without the "0x" in front :P That's why
my searches for "0x7ab" never matched. And now that I have included the
Freecom Freecom USB/IDE adaptor, things are happening.

I have successfully mounted a CD in my usb cd-rw drive, and listing the
directory contents works fine. I can list the files on the CD, but if I
try to view the contents of a file ("less README.TXT"), the device hangs,
and the "less" process hangs with state D (uninterruptible sleep (usually
IO)).

Also, sometimes (erm, ok, I just saw it for the first time ever, but this
is all new to me) the drive shows up in /proc/scsi/scsi like this:

Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
  Vendor: Model: Rev:
Type: <NULL> ANSI SCSI revision: ffffffff

I did "rmmod usb-storage uhci" which worked ok, and then "modprobe usb",
which promptly segfaulted. I tried again, no segfault this time, but uhci
never finishes initialising. A reboot (power off) has not resolved the
problem (ie. the entry has Type: <NULL> still).

I checked that the cd-rw had Driver=usb-storage when it worked. This entry
was cut'n'pasted while I had Type: <NULL> in /proc/scsi/scsi

Hope I didn't forget anything important this time. If there's anything
else you need, don't hesitate to ask :)
