Hi!
Using RH 7.0 (yes i know - its a shame) with kernel 2.4.0 I had no problems
using usb-uhci on my old asus tp4 board. With kernel version newer than
2.4.0 - i tryed 2.4.2, pre's up to 2.4.3 final, I was not able to insmod
usb-uhci (of course after a successful loading of the usb-core module). The
kernel just pops out an error saying he doesn't find the controller,
including irq settings as a possible error etc. Looking in the logs and proc
files i find nothing strange or mangled. The IO's, Irq's are in both
versions with all devices identical. The compiling settings are also
identical to 2.4.0. The only difference - a working 2.4.0 version, and a
faulty 2.4.3...
To mention: As a compiler I used the official kernel-compilers, not the
rh-crap...
Can anyone give me some clue?
Thanks,
Willi
