Hi Neil,
That's a good question as I have the same camera with RHL6.2 and
kernel 2.4.4 and sometimes it works and others it reports /dev/sda1
having the wrong major minor number when I try to mount. I also
get a bad error message when I do the following (do you get it as well?):
Procedure:
- boot with the camera on
- mount the camera
- unmount the camera
- disconnect the USB cable while the laptop is still on
What do you see?
My guess is that one needs to update some modutils package and
some other usb packages for 2.4.x to work correctly.
Is this true?
Please let me know whether you get an error message when you go
through the above procedure (in case the camera was mounted successully).
