Hello.
I have been using Linux for several years, but this is my first foray
into the world of USB. I received an HP Photosmart 215 digital camera as
a gift, so now I am trying to get it working on my 2.4.0 SuSE system.
I have recompiled the kernel with (I think) the appropriate support. I
have tried both usb-storage and dc2xx, but I can't seem to get any
driver to claim the device. I'm obviously missing something simple, but
I can't figure out what. I've checked the FAQs, the USB-guide, and
anywhere else I could think of to no avail.
Hotplugging does have the device appear in /proc/bus/usb/devices. Here's

If I insmod or modprobe the usb-storage or dc2xx modules, they load but
are listed in lsmod as unused.
What am I doing wrong? Answers are welcome either through the list, or
to me personally.
