I just thought I would drop a note to the list about my hunt for a way
to use my HP Photosmart 215 camera with Linux. I tried several places,
including this list, for ways to get it to work. Unfortunately, I never
did get the camera to be claimed by a driver.

I did get a pointer from a gentleman I contacted from his entry at the
device listing. He never did get it working either, but he purchased a
Sandisk SDDR 31 Compact Flash Reader which worked well for him. I took
his advice, went to the local Toaster Emporium (read "big electronics
chain that sells everything from toasters to computers") and picked up a
cheap SDDR 31.

Since I had already downloaded 2.4.5 and compiled in the appropriate
drivers, I just plugged it in, mounted the card, and it works great!

FYI.
