You can plug the m505 into a serial cradle :)
Seriously, that's the only way it will currently work on Linux. Give us
some time, and it will get there.

You aren't the first person I've heard who has said that. I went and
looked at both the m505 and the color Handspring this past weekend at a
store, and was amazed putting them side by side. I think I'm going to
get the Handspring soon.
