Well, I had this problem due to my motherboard and it's chipset. Or
somesuch. Anyway.... Do other devices work okay? I got mine working by
using the 'noapic' kernel option. This turns off stuff having to do with
assigning irqs. I'm really not that clear on it but you could try it. :)
