ok the keyboard now works, but the problem still remains with
my mouse. I don the necessary steps and under the
console with gmp -t ... the usb mouse is recognized
and works. but if i change to X (done the necessary
in /etc/X11/XF86Config) it won't work. Even
if I uncomment the ps2 mouse section it wont. If
I leave both sections in, the ps2 works, usb won't.
No error messages in /var/log/messages or /var/log/Xlog
Additionally at boot up (I placed /sbin/modprobe hid
and the other necesarry modules in /etc/rc.d/rc.local)
the usb keyboard isn't available when I've to type
in my apache ssl passphrase.) the modules won't be
loaded as the should. I searched the (entire) net,
but couldn't find a comprehensive guide on loading the
usb modules (maybe OT).
