Well, I tried 2.4.13pre4 with the patch and in may have made some
difference. At the same time I also rebooted with the noapic option so I
don't know if the difference was the patch or the noapic option. Anyway,
after that, using usb-uhci (plain old uhci still didn't work) I got a speed
increase, up to about 700kBps and managed to copy a few hundred megs across.
After that my system froze hard again. I don't have time to play with this
any more but I'll try it later on a different machine running Win2k that has
the exact same MB.
