Hello I am quite new to USB, and I have to connect and set up a development (bluetooth) board. It looks like USB is set up correctly - I have a USB mouse, which, apon connect, makes the puter beep, a new entry appears in /proc/bus/usb/devices, I was even able to cat /dev/usb/mice (I think), until that device disappeared:-) but I didn't try very hard to find out why or to solve this mistery. So, the question really is - should any USB device appear in /proc/bus/usb/devices upon connect, and does the fact that nothing appears there mean that there's a hardware problem? Which is quite possible.
