Both the USB devices I own work under Windows but produce errors like
these when connected with Linux:

  hub.c: port 2 connection change
  hub.c: port 2, portstatus 101, change 1, 12 Mb/s
  hub.c: port 2, portstatus 103, change 0, 12 Mb/s
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2, assigned device number 2
  usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=2 (error=-110)
  hub.c: port 2, portstatus 103, change 0, 12 Mb/s
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2, assigned device number 3
  usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=3 (error=-110)

I am running kernel 2.4.16 with the usb-uhci driver, though the other
driver seems to give the same results. The devices are a Kodak DC240
digital camera and an Archos jukebox recorder.

/proc/bus/usb/devices reads:

T: Bus=01 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=12 MxCh= 2

On boot, the following usb-specific messages appear:

I've tried a search on the subject line, but to no avail. I'd be most
grateful for any help anyone can offer!
