Hi, I'm using an Acer 6406EU usb cd-r/cd-rw drive with usb-storage to read and write CDs on my IBM Thinkpad X21 laptop.
The drive works for both reading and writing, but performance seems to be extremely poor. The reading and writing rates come in at 50 kbytes/sec max. (That's about 3 hours to read or write a cd!) I was wondering if there's a fix, or at least if this is a known problem? usb-storage works fine with my zip250 drive. Thanks, Daniel.
