Hi everybody. I'm happy to announce that ClawConfig, my package for configuring and using The Claw (www.claw.com.au) is ready for beta testing. As far as kernel/Linux is concerned, The Claw is basically just a USB gamepad/joystick that's tailored for playing FPS games. So why bother with ClawConfig? It lets you assign up to 32 sequences of 100 keypresses to each button so complex actions like verbals or complicated (jump, fire, switch weapons, fire) manuvers can be performed with one keypress.
Anyway, the USB version of The Claw is pretty new (Jan. 2002, I think) but I thought that I'd open the door for any Linux games out there who were considering the device but didn't have a way to really use it in Linux. The ClawConfig for Linux site is: http://www.ldg.net/~rob/clawconfig I really need more people to test the package and tell me about bugs or features they'd like to see. Have fun!
