OK, could be a race. Do you have SMP? Or kernel pre-emption? Does it still 
happen if you compile uP only?
Could also be a power problem. Are you powering it from a reliable source? Is 
the modem power plug solid?

This seems unlikely, unless we are corrupting the skb's. You need to capture 
it somehow to allow analysis.

Maybe soon, but nothing that will definately address these problems without 
more info.
