Hotplug calls a script to load modules automatically. Do you have hotplug installed; [localhost] ~ > rpm -q hotplug hotplug-2001_04_24-11 If you'd read the FAQ you'd have discoved that the output of /proc/bus/usb/devices is very interesting to people who would like to help. If you don't have the present, read the FAQ and the User Guide (at least the bit about the USB Device Filesystem and Mass Storage Devices). I do really want to help but, as they say, do have a day job.
