Hello,

I am having trouble with my system locking while trying to read a group of 
about 60 files (25meg) from a smart media card using either a usb s/m reader 
or an Olympus2040Zoom camera.

This machine has just recently become a Linux box and the above hardware has 
worked very well under the previous operating and in testing on another pc.  

When I try to copy with Konqueror after a couple of files the progress dialog 
displays 'stalled' and after a few minutes the system will lock and require a 
reset.

Trying the process from a command line yields slightly better results, 
sometimes copying all the files after a 'stall' or two, but the system still 
locks in the end.  

I have tried RH7.2 single and SMP kernels along with recompiling the kernel 
myself, all with the same results.

Hopefully I have included enough information below that someone may be able 
to offer some assistance.
