Hi , excuse me to ask my question about
using usb microphone in linux
I am an user want to
use USB microphone in my linux box of Vine linux 2.15.
I checked the
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt ,found the lines :
180 char USB
devices
0 = /dev/usb/lp0 First USB printer ... 15 = /dev/usb/lp15 16th USB printer 16 = /dev/usb/mouse0 First USB mouse ... 31 = /dev/usb/mouse15 16th USB mouse 32 = /dev/usb/ez0 First USB firmware loader ... 47 = /dev/usb/ez15 16th USB firmware loader 48 = /dev/usb/scanner0 First USB scanner ... 63 = /dev/usb/scanner15 16th USB scanner 64 = /dev/usb/rio500 Diamond Rio 500 I didnot find the information of usb
microphone in the file, Does it mean I can not use my usb
microphone default or does it mean the
current linux kernel does not support usb microphone default,
It seems the maker of the microphone did
not offer an usb microphone driver too.
How should I do to make the usb microphone
work in my linux , must I write a usb microphone driver for
the microphone which I want to use ? any
idea. thank you very
much
