Thanks alot Stephen. It helped to load usb-uhci. Now Linux reacts when I
plug in my printer and modem. Beeps and stuff :-)

But I don't understand what to do to get my modem working. Though the modem
is metioned in the /proc/bus/usb/devices file, the lights on the modem
doesn't light (the PWR and MR lights are turned on once windows detect it).
I have tried to dial, but no reaction. I have set /dev/modem (ppp is
configured to use that device) to point to /dev/ttyACM0. Does it matter what
of the /dev/ttyACM[0-9] devices I link /dev/modem to? Might it just be that
my modem is not supported? Should I use /dev/ttyUSB[0-15] instead?

I have attached the output of /proc/bus/usb/devices and
/proc/bus/usb/drivers.

Thanks again,
Espen
