Hello, I haye a canon630u and I managed to get it to work with Linux. After boot I allways had to call
insmod scanner vendor=0x04a9 product=0x2204 as root, before I could use the scanner. Now I found a way to load this command at boot and if I first call the scannerprogram as root, everything works fine and I can scan as normal user as well. But when I do the first call ot the scanner after boot as normal user, I get the message "Device busy" and the scanner hangs until I log in as root, unplug, replug, call the scanner as root.
