Hi, I have an a I8100 and I started using BIOS A10 which finaly solves part of the apm information: it now shows the correct percentage of the battery.
One thing it shows incorrectly is the time left for the battery. As an example it says I currently have around 4h10 min left. I made some quick tests and a minute reported in /proc/apm lasts around 24 seconds on my machine. I had a look to the kernel file arch/i386/kernel/apm.c, but without too much help. It seems the information is directly taken from the BIOS. Anyone knows where the problem comes from? It is a buggy To those who run Windows, do you see the problem? Fix-it: I thought about adding a correcting factor parameter to the apm kernel module (for me this correcting factor would then be close to 0.4). Do you think that this would be a Good Thing(TM) to do to hide the problem? Jerome _______________________________________________________________ Have big pipes?
