Hi again, 
I am running Red Hat 7.2 (kernel 2.4.8) on a PC. I have a Canon FS4000 slide 
scanner and I am trying to use Vuescan.

I keep getting error messages in the /var/log/messages file, keeps saying 
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout.
My scanner was connected and switched on at the time.

Here's what I tried to do....
