Dear all,

I am new to usb (even on Windows). I now got an notebook ata(ide)
harddisk and a USB to IDE convertor by EagleTec(ET-HDCS1U-DT USB 1.1
--GEN641). I can use it quite well on Windows. On Linux, I can see the
devices name shown on both /proc/bus/usb and /proc/scsi/usb-storage0.
When I try to mount /dev/sda, it complains about Input/Outout error.
When I use mke2fs on /dev/sda, it complains problem occured during
erease block 0.

Is the device supported by Linux currently? Or someone can point me to
some resources related to this? Thanks very much.

Jacky
