The images look fine in the camera.  There are errors in my log file,
but I don't know which read they're from.  The problem I've got now is
that when I try mounting the flash card I usually use (the other was a
backup), I get the input/output errors every single time.  Here is the
error message, which is repeated thousands of times:

I love Linux, but stuff like this makes me want to think about chucking
it.  I've had trouble with nearly every USB device I've tried :(.
