Hi! I think that any usb devices which claims they work with WinMe/XP without any drivers work well. Their manufacturers claim also that they have a driver for Win98SE but not for Win95. or Win98.
I've tried for my USB key (without brand) and for my Hard drive in a external case (without brand too!) where I can put either a disk either a cdrom. They are recognized as SCSI device /dev/sdX! It works very well! Freeze NB: But I never tried to put a cdrom in the case versions! :-) --- On Wednesday 17 July 2002 18:47, you wrote: > Hi, > > Any suggestions for which external HDD enclosures with IDE/USB > connectivity work well? > > Are there any manufacturers that I should consider because they support > the development of the Linux USB Mass Storage driver? > > Adi > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek > Welcome to geek heaven. > http://thinkgeek.com/sf > _______________________________________________ > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
