I was browsing through the kernel source code (I'm tech support and systems, not a developer) and found that the only place that SIIG hardware is mentioned is in unusual_devs.h. To me that's not good, but at least it's a start.
My boss has a SIIG CF Reader, model number US2235. I opened it up (shhhh, don't tell my boss :) and saw that the U1 IC (EEPROM) is a CSI 24WC02P and the main IC was labeled CARRT U02SE. Google returned a link for 24WC02P that showed it was EEPROM, but didn't find anything regarding the U02SE. 1) Has anybody run across this chipset? 2) Is this a known compatible chipset or known incompatible chipset? I couldn't tell if CARRT was part of the Mfr Name or if it was part of the chipset number. 3) If it's unknown, I can provide details that usbview shows (or just /proc/bus/usb/devices). Blue skies...
