Using Kernel 2.4.19, with videodev, usbvideo , and ultracam loaded I get a distorted image (a sample of which can be found at http://home.attbi.com/~gnuman/webcam.html ) which looks like the image is simply not synching up. I also get the error: ioctl (VIDIOCSWIN): Invalid argument over and over. This seems to be related to brightness. All of this is with gqcam which is one of the packages that I need to be able to use this device with.
When I get the usbvideo CVS package from Karl Gutwin, it gives me a black image, same error, and "error loading image. . .". Using the 2.5.44 kernel I get a white image (blank white box where the image should be). I have done Google searches on the camera and the error, with no luck. there must be *someone* who has gotten this running, as the last discussion I have been able to find is over a year old. . . What am I missing? what should I be using and where do I get it?
