I have now acquired a USB cable for my Ericsson T39m cell phone and wish to connect to the Internet using this set-up. I have read the USB FAQ and various other documents pointed to by the FAQ but cannot find out how to do this. lsmod gives me :- Module Size Used by Not tainted ds 6624 1 i82365 22416 1 pcmcia_core 40896 0 [ds i82365] ide-scsi 7280 0 3c59x 24624 1 visor 10060 0 (unused) usbserial 17660 0 [visor] acm 5024 0 (unused) usb-uhci 20972 0 (unused) ntfs 48544 1 (autoclean)
and I have created :- crwxrwxrwx 1 root users 166, 0 Nov 12 13:24 /dev/usb/ttyACM0 crwxrwxrwx 1 root users 166, 1 Nov 12 13:24 /dev/usb/ttyACM1 crwxrwxrwx 1 root users 166, 2 Nov 12 13:25 /dev/usb/ttyACM2 crwxrwxrwx 1 root users 166, 3 Nov 12 13:25 /dev/usb/ttyACM3 but I still get :- Failed to open /dev/usb/ttyACM0: Invalid argument when trying to connect to my ISP using PPP or GPRS. --- Regards, Alf Stockton www.stockton.co.za Stop searching.
