Hi, I read a mini-HOWTO about how to sync a PDA (Palm) with Linux using a USB port. I do everything you say but I can't still connect it.
Someone connect succesfully? Can someone help me please!! When I try to make the sync (coldsync -p /dev/pilot or pilot-pref ... and y probe /dev/ttyUSB0 and USB1), this thing appears in my screen 'Please press the Hot Sync button', but I press it before (so my PDA is trying to connect). So nothing happend, no sync. If I don't press the button before execute coldsync this messages apears 'Warning: no device on /dev/pilot. Sleeping' and when I press HotSync button this text appears 'Please press the HotSync button' and this is the last that appears. No sync !!! Do you know what's wrong? Why I can't connect? I compiled the USB support built-in and then I recompiled as module(when no work the first time) and when I load usb-uhci, usbserial and visor no errors apears. I use RedHat 7.3 with kernel 2.4.20-pre7 so I don't download the patch fron linuxusb that you say because I have USB support with this kernel. Martin Federico Piana [EMAIL PROTECTED] Argentina PD: I read another articule about how to do it and the same error happened. PD2: When I make lspci-v say: USB Controller: Via Techologies, Inc. USB(rev 02)(prog-if 00[UHCI]) Subsystem: VIA Tech.., Inc. (Wrong ID): Unknow device 1234. Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64. I/O ports at e400 [size=32] LOOK BEFORE WHEN SAY WRONG ID? IT's important? PD3: When I load the usb-uhci the system logs says: 2 ports detected PD4: Sorry for my english, but it isn't my native languague. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
