No idea.  Do you use 'make config' or make menuconfig' ?  I find
menuconfig a lot easier to get on with but it's still possible to miss
out smoething important - last time I recompiled for USB support I
forgot to include support for the parallel printer port.  :(

Anyway if you'd like to mail me your linux/.config I can have a look at it.
No promises, I'll just compare it with mine.

Or I can send you mine.  Now why don't I do that?  Here it is (privately).
