Hello, I use fujitsu-Siemens notebook with processor Crusoe. Two usb ports usb 1.1 work fine with various equipment. (irda, keyboard, and external hard disk). it work with ohci driver.
I want to use usb 2.0, so I have pcmcia cardbus with two usb ports usb 2.0. If I put this card to pcmcia slot driver ehci with this message is loaded: cs: cb_alloc(bus 1): vendor 0x1033, device 0x0035 PCI: Enabling device 01:00.0 (0000 -> 0002) PCI: Setting latency timer of device 01:00.0 to 64 usb-ohci.c: USB OHCI at membase 0xc7938000, IRQ 9 usb-ohci.c: usb-01:00.0, PCI device 1033:0035 usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 2 hub.c: USB hub found hub.c: 3 ports detected PCI: Enabling device 01:00.1 (0000 -> 0002) PCI: Setting latency timer of device 01:00.1 to 64 usb-ohci.c: USB OHCI at membase 0xc793a000, IRQ 9 usb-ohci.c: usb-01:00.1, PCI device 1033:0035 usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 3 hub.c: USB hub found hub.c: 2 ports detected PCI: Enabling device 01:00.2 (0000 -> 0002) hcd.c: ehci-hcd @ 01:00.2, PCI device 1033:00e0 hcd.c: irq 9, pci mem c7941000 usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 4 ehci-hcd.c: USB 2.0 support enabled, EHCI rev 0.95 hub.c: USB hub found hub.c: 5 ports detected Is OK? If i want attach my external hard disk come this message: hub.c: new USB device 01:00.2-2, assigned address 17 usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-71) hub.c: new USB device 01:00.2-2, assigned address 18 usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-71) hub.c: new USB device 01:00.2-2, assigned address 19 spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7. usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-71) hub.c: new USB device 01:00.2-2, assigned address 20 usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-71) .... My external hard disk say that is low power. If I give external power from other source, my external hard disk announce that power is too much high. On usb 1.1 ports work this hard disk fine without external source. Kernel 2.4.20 and 2.4.21 I tested kernel 2.5.70 2.5.71 and 2.5.72 with similar results. my pcmcia-cs is: pcmcia-cs/unstable uptodate 3.2.2-1.1 Have you some ideas? thank you. -- Jan Buchal Tel: (00420) 224921679 Mob: (00420) 608023021 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: INetU Attention Web Developers & Consultants: Become An INetU Hosting Partner.
