I thought of that too... keyboard and hub are passive, so maybe the cable is too long 
or something...

Haven't tried that yet....

It's the only usb keyboard I can get my hands on as of now....

Well, like I said I get usb_hub errors with the number "-110"

I am using the Gentoo Linux distro with the xbox kernel modifications... I think it's 
a 2.4x kernel.

Yes, and the Qtronix keyboard is in it. But I am not sure if it is the one with the 
built in hub...

I watched the process with usbview and I could just watch the devices (hub and keyb) 
appearing and disappearing....
