I'm having serious problems with a 6in1 memory card reader. It's one of those that installs in an empty floppy drive slot and hooks up either to an internal or external USB port. Both the vendor's website as well as the instructions in the box say it is Linux kernel 2.4 compatible.
Anyway, I've tried this thing with Red Hat 9's latest kernels as well as a machine running the latest 2.4.21 kernel. In all cases it doesn't work. Not surprisingly it works just fine under XP.
