Hi all,

I got a Fujitsu/Siemens Memorybird USB stick (256 Mb) booting by
formatting it as DOS and using syslinux. Recent syslinux, kernel
2.4.21. It boots all right, but it takes an eternity and a half with
both an older version (1.1) and a newer version (USB 2.0). The board is
a VIA EPIA mini-ITX.

What are the general causes of such an horrible delay and are there
any solution ?

Thanks,

Alain
