-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have a little MP3 player that has a USB interface. This device should be working under Linux; there's an active community of users of it with Linux, including a separate application and kernel module for supporting special features and patches to the rio500 kernel module to connect it as a USB-storage device.
I can never get that far, because when I connect the device to either my wife's laptop running a 2.4 kernel or my laptop running a 2.6-t8 kernel, I get a string of "device not accepting ID" errors. What is this? A bad cable? A bad hardware chip on the device? A change in the firmware of the device that breaks compatability? Where should I start trying to fix this? Thanks! - -- ### SER ### Deutsch|Esperanto|Francaise|Linux|XML|Java|Ruby|Aikido|Dirigibles ### http://www.germane-software.com/~ser jabber.com:ser ICQ:83578737 ### GPG: http://www.germane-software.com/~ser/Security/ser_public.gpg -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/wRV+P0KxygnleI8RAs83AJ0e7Z0BTpxl/WC9NVxKzxT0RAE3GwCgupkP l5VjaOaI5vVHimqsIhuTl6Q= =OSsc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
