Hi,

I have a problem with an usb2 cardbus controller on a Siemens Mobile 510
laptop. I'm not sure if this is really usb-related, but maybe anyone has an
idea what I can try to get at least some error messages.
The controller (NEC) works fine with kernel 2.6.1 on a Samsung X10 laptop, but
it is not working with kernels <= 2.6.1rc1. (I didn't try rc2)
On the Siemens it does the following with 2.6.1:
- the controller is recognized and three devices (two OHCI and one EHCI
controller) are added to lspci
- the usb bus looks also good and both the ohci and ehci modules load
correctly
- if I try to attach some device (no matter if it is an 1.1 or 2.0 device, and
if I load ehci or just ohci) it is detected correctly and looks normal in
lsusb -v.
- I can mount mass storage devices, but most of the time an ls /mnt is enough
to freeze the whole system.
Any ideas what this _could_ be?

Thanks,
-cornelius
