Hello everyone, I'm asking this list just because I see on google, that is the right place.
I'm using My USB camera with usb-storage on kernels 2.4.x (FinePix1300) without any problem, but I noticed that kernel 2.6.0 and 2.6.1 show a lot of error messages related to UNABLE TO READ PARTITION TABLE ON SDA, then I need to reboot with 2.4.x Type: Doesn't said Removable media, may be something related to a param to usb-storage? If this is the wrong place to ask, I'm apologize kernel, when plugging said: hub 1-0:1.0: new USB device on port 2, assigned address 2 scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices Vendor: Fujifilm Model: FinePix 1400Zoom Rev: 1000 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 sda : READ CAPACITY failed. sda : status=0, message=00, host=7, driver=00 sda : sense not available. sda: assuming Write Enabled sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda : READ CAPACITY failed. sda : status=0, message=00, host=7, driver=00 sda : sense not available. sda: assuming Write Enabled sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda : READ CAPACITY failed. sda : status=0, message=00, host=7, driver=00 sda : sense not available. sda: assuming Write Enabled sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda:<3>Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0 Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0 unable to read partition table sda:<3>Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0 unable to read partition table Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 Attached scsi generic sg1 at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 0 WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured USB Mass Storage device found at 2 request_module: failed /sbin/modprobe -- char-major-21-2. error = 256 request_module: failed /sbin/modprobe -- block-major-11. error = 256 sda : READ CAPACITY failed. sda : status=0, message=00, host=7, driver=00 sda : sense not available. sda: assuming Write Enabled sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda : READ CAPACITY failed. sda : status=0, message=00, host=7, driver=00 sda : sense not available. sda: assuming Write Enabled sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda:<3>Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0 Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0 unable to read partition table sda : READ CAPACITY failed. sda : status=0, message=00, host=7, driver=00 sda : sense not available. sda: assuming Write Enabled sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda : READ CAPACITY failed. sda : status=0, message=00, host=7, driver=00 sda : sense not available. sda: assuming Write Enabled sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda:<3>Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0 Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0 unable to read partition table Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0 ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
