I am running SuSE9.0 with kernel 2.4.24 (or 2.6.1). After connecting a device (printer, CD/DVD burner) to my USB2.0 port I would like to perform additional actions afterwards - e.g. create soft links /dev/dvd -> /dev/sr<n>
depending on informations in /proc/sys/dev/cdrom/info . It is not always the same sr<n> the burner is attached to - also I have different burners / ROM devices and I would like to create specific link names depending on info retrieved by scsi_info. Is there a specific location where I can let the system start activities after connection of my devices ? Also: how can I make the appropriate modules to load automatically (e.g. printer when connecting a printer and usb-storage for my burners) ? Thank you, Malte ______________________________________________________________________________ Nachrichten, Musik und Spiele schnell und einfach per Quickstart im WEB.DE Screensaver - Gratis downloaden: http://screensaver.web.de/?mc=021110 ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
