upgraded SuSE 9.0 to kernel 2.6.3. Everything OK except Muvo mp3 player. Under 2.4.x it worked fine. With 2.6.3 I cannot mount it usb-storage and scsi modules are loaded and that's all.
No other modules? I thought there were supposed to be some
What else should be loaded? Well, usbcore, (e/o)hci-hcd, scsi-mod are loaded on boot, if you mean anything of these.

BTW, I tried the mtools trick proposed in the list for some other mp3 players but it didn't work. Same problem as before: it seems to be working but nothing happens - no messages/errors. Also Ctrl+C does not work. I have to stop the proccess in a more powerfull way...
The above when trying for example: "mcopy foo c:".
Same thing exactly happens when trying "mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt"
Another detail: if I leave the device plugged, after a while I get in dmesg:
------------------------
[...]
drivers/usb/core/hub.c: USB device not accepting new address (error=-110)
usb-storage: usb_reset_device returns -110
scsi: Device offlined - not ready after error recovery: host 0 channel 0 id 0 lun 0
SCSI error : <0 0 0 0> return code = 0x50000
end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 256000
Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 256000
sda1
Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
-------------------------
and after that /dev/sda1 becomes a non-valid block device.
