I agree with Brad here, try to do small incremental stuff and release 
soon. I know its hard, I have the same problem myself, wanting stuff
to be perfectly done -- Do it right, Right away -- and so on. In the
end, my experience is that I end up not getting anything done because of
my own overambitious plans. 

Not that I mean that you dont get things done. Apparantly you give
continous support on the list, and that is one of the most valuable
things one can do in a open source project, well besides hacking at
least. I mean, timely support is what creates a broad user base.

But "Release early, release often" deserves to be repeated. =)
