::raises hand:: Doing it here. Running Debian unstable, ECS motherboard with a SIS chipset. USB specific bits from lspci follow: 00:03.0 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 0f) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: Elitegroup Computer Systems: Unknown device 1808 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 20 Memory at cfffd000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] 00:03.1 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 0f) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: Elitegroup Computer Systems: Unknown device 1808 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 21 Memory at cfffe000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] 00:03.2 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 2.0 Controller (prog-if 20 [EHCI]) Subsystem: Elitegroup Computer Systems: Unknown device 1808 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 23 Memory at cffff000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] Capabilities: <available only to root> I'm running kernel 2.6.2 at the moment, homerolled from a kernel.org tarball *NOT* a deb. The only USB trouble I have is my Palm Zire 71 and the visor module seem to dislike each other. Successful USb devices are: - Microsoft Explorer Trackball (yeah, yeah, I know - MS hardware on a linux box disturbs me too) - HP PSC 2110 printer / scanner / copier - Constar external hard drive enclosure (whoever they are) - Casio QV-R40 digital camera - ECS 5-in-1 card reader (came with the motherboard) > I'm particularly interested if you have seen differences between the > performance of Debian and Linux on the same hardware. Not quite sure what you mean here, but this hardware has never had anything but Debian on it so I couldn't say anyway. -- Mike Werner KA8YSD | He that is slow to believe anything and | everything is of great understanding, '91 GS500E | for belief in one false principle is the Morgantown WV | beginning of all unwisdom.
