Hi all, i'm using the 2.4.24-vanilla kernel on a P4-Celeron Laptop (DELL Inspiron 1100). The chipset is a intel i845. When I connect my external HD-Houseing (ali m5621 usb2.0-ide chip), dmesg will report "Device not accepting new adress". If I remove usb2.0 support (by doing a rmmod ehci-hcd) it will work, Linux reports a product name "USB2.0 Mass Storage" and use it in usb1.1 mode. I saw one other amazing thing: the bus number of the usb 2.0 hub is 00:1d.7-1 and 00:1d.7-3. (i only have 2 usb ports). Usb 1.1 bus numbers are: 00:1d.1-0 and 00:1d.1-1 ! Is this right? (I'm using mandrake 9.2 download edition)
