When someone gets a "device not acceptting new address" it's usually
an irq handling problem, so at this point the only thing i can suggest
is rebuilding your kernel with the latest ACPI patch availible from

http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/lenb/acpi/patches/release/

and give it a try. You might want to check the mailing list arcives,
both users and devel.
