Is there any way to detect media insertion of removal from user space? Submount almost does what I want, but it assumes the partition structure stays the same (from what I can gather). I want to deal with the situation where the partition structure changes - for example, I remove a single partition CF card and insert a two patition CF card.
What I need is something like a subdevice that can call a script in user space - and leave the script to deal with the figuring out of partitions and mount points. The reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to extend usb-mount ( http://users.actrix.co.nz/michael/usbmount.html ) to automatically cope with CF card media changes. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
